To train young people in the art of magic, All India Magic Federation president Jadugar Anand want to start an academy in Bangalore.
Anand says there are more than 2 lakh tricks that a magician can perform. “There is a need to teach magic to the youth so that they popularize this art,” he said.
Jadugar Anand, who has been staging magic shows for the past 38 years, said the Magic Federation has no dearth of teachers to help the academy. In fact, he plans to approach the chief Minister seeking land for his project.
Currently, he’s working on the popular Indian rope trick. The International Brotherhood of Magicians, US, has kept aside $50,000 for the same. “It is a trick where a boy vanishes after climbing a rope of 40-50 ft. This is the only unfulfilled desire I have, which II will fulfill.
